I am currently on a long stay in Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur, and on Friday, April 12 I plan to visit the hotel W Kuala Lumpur's WET Deck floor for a Techno/Tech House party, “WET Sessions ft Anja Schneider”.

Kuala Lumpur Has Relatively Little Techno or Tech House

The other day I went to a trance event called STAKE OF SOUND, and when researching it, I found there did not seem to be much Techno or Tech House.

Information on Techno and Tech House events is comprehensively covered by Resident Advisor, but looking up Kuala Lumpur, I cannot deny there seem to be relatively few events that catch the eye.

These are the ones that caught mine:

Friday, April 12: WET Sessions ft Anja Schneider

Saturday, April 27: WET Sessions ft Josh Butler

Saturday, April 27: Barrio invites: James What (Crosstown Rebels, UK)

And on Friday, May 3, Jeremy Olander also seems to be playing in KL. That is great!

Incidentally, I am a fan of Josh Butler, so the event on Saturday, April 27, WET Sessions ft Josh Butler, was the one I most wanted to attend. But I am only in Kuala Lumpur until April 20, so I have to give up this time… sob.

W Kuala Lumpur / WET Deck Information

W Kuala Lumpur is a high-end Marriott group hotel, and WET Deck is a bar and lounge.

It is more a party than an event.

It is very close to Kuala Lumpur's landmark, the Petronas Twin Towers, so access should be no problem.

Getting Around Kuala Lumpur

Buses, the monorail, and Grab, a ride-hailing service like Uber, are useful.

Installing the Japanese-compatible app Moovit should spare you trouble navigating an unfamiliar place.

Using Grab is especially essential for late-night journeys.

I explained a little in the following article, so please read it too.
