[Far Too Feeble…] Ultra Japan 2019's Final Lineup and Daily Schedule Announced [Completely Finished]

A lineup was recently announced for Ultra Japan 2019, the festival's fifth edition, taking place over two days on September 14 and 15, and today the final lineup finally appears to have been released.

To Put It Mildly, It Is Far Too Feeble...

To use an analogy, this lineup looks like a bargain cart outside a supermarket entrance.

And incredibly, while Resistance sounds are hugely popular worldwide, the Resistance stage is disappearing...

Then again...

Although I wrote, “Do not expect much even if the lineup is late or weak,” at this point it really is awful—or just too sad...

There Probably Will Not Be Another Edition Next Year...

Dedicated music fans turned away long ago, and it is easy to imagine the low quality of the crowd that still attends this, like Shibuya Halloween in 2018.

Against this Japanese backdrop, an internationally branded dance music festival with such potential has visibly declined.

With population aging and decline progressing after 2020, I do not think it will be held again.

In that sense, like buying unnecessary things in a rush before a tax increase, saying “It may be the last one, so I might as well see it” could be an option, haha.

Dance Music Fans Will Choose Either Overseas or Their Neighborhood

Given all this, I think the decline of major domestic festivals and club events will accelerate.

I suspect dance music fans will split into these two camps.

Since I live abroad, I want to explore overseas scenes and create places where only like-minded people can enjoy music together.

Life is short, after all, and I want to spend my time on things that are irreplaceable both musically and experientially. I also want as many people as possible to know about them.

Incidentally, party people who never cared about music in the first place will “graduate” one after another, haha.
