[Recommendations] Let's List Some House Classics! #1

2017/11/23

Every kind of music has works called “timeless masterpieces,” and dance music is no exception.

Today, mashups by EDM DJs (combining different tracks and source material into one track, mainly using music production and editing software) have become commonplace, and revivals by Future House DJs mean it is no longer unusual to hear classic tunes.

This time, I would like to introduce a selection of classic House tunes.
Whether you were not born when these were released, were not listening to dance music, or only follow recent tracks and therefore do not know them, please take this opportunity to check them out!

*There are probably other sites collecting House classics, but here I have simply poured in tracks I like or that came to mind. I may gradually add more as I think of them, along with individual explanations.

Pete Heller – Big love

Open source

Pete Heller was one of the flagship artists of Junior Boys Own, a label that enjoyed its heyday from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s.
This track is a classic House tune with a memorable warm atmosphere, but Pete Heller's real specialty is ACID HOUSE, and that individuality came through on the self-run label Phela Recordings.
